And After The Floods Came...Snow

There was a moderate to heavy fall of snow in Burford in the morning of 28 December. Roads were covered and cars were slithering up the High Street with some difficulty and wheels spinning. There was no sign of road gritters who seem to have been caught napping. In fairness to them they may have been misled by weather forecasts. Around 9.00am the BBC weather app was predicting "sleet showers" for this area when it had already been snowing hard for some time. By midday the snow had stopped and a slow thaw had started but the roads may remain tricky with minus 3C expected overnight.

The above photograph is our own but the national media have also been taking a keen interest in the area.
