Election Special


The Liberal Democrats have won the Witney parliamentary seat from the Conservatives.


The Tories lost all their seats in Oxfordshire. The Lib Dems won Henley & Thame and Didcot & Wantage from the Conservatives, and also captured the new seat of Bicester and Woodstock. This gave them five of the seven seats in the county. Labour won Banbury from the Tories, defeating the attorney general, Victoria Prentis.


In Witney Lib Dem Charlie Maynard received 20,832 votes, former MP Robert Courts got 16,493 while Reform UK candidate Richard Langridge had 6,307.
