We may not have a white Christmas this year but we had a white Advent Sunday. After a battering from storm Arwen on Saturday, snow fell in our area on Sunday evening and was still on the ground on Monday with icy roads in places. The Met Office defines winter as running from 1 December to 31 March but our weather does not always conform to this pattern. Milder conditions are forecast for Tuesday with the cold returning in mid-week.
