Local conservation charity the Wychwood Forest Trust has announced that their annual Forest Fair will return to Foxburrow Wood,Witney on Sunday 31st July 2022.
Celebrating West Oxfordshire’s rural traditions, conservation work and heritage, the Wychwood Forest Fair highlights traditional rural activities such as drystone walling, hedgelaying, and arts and crafts, while raising money for the Wychwood Forest Trust, a local conservation charity.
Originally founded in 1796, The Forest Fair was revived in 2000 by the Wychwood Forest Trust to celebrate the rural traditions, arts and crafts, and conservation work taking place in the area historically part of the Wychwood Forest - today most of West Oxfordshire.The modern fair is a peaceful, family-friendly event that looks back to its 18th-century origins.
The Wychwood Forest Fair will take place on Sunday 31st July at Foxburrow Wood, Witney OX29 9XL from 11am–4pm
Early bird tickets are available from the WFT website and cost £8 / Tickets on the gate cost £10 / under-16s are free.
